A Taste of BoatWorks - Alameda

A Complimentary Half Day Program for Human Resource, Leadership Development or Line of Business Executives

BoatWorks is an experiential leadership development program which is offered by Group Experiential Learning in port cities throughout the US and several international locations.

BoatWorks leverages a non-racing, multi-sailboat format to get client teams gelling as they battle the wind, the currents, their collective anxieties and a special group challenge, all under the watchful eyes of a professional coaching staff. The BoatWorks challenge is similar to an obstacle course, but individual boats can’t go it alone. Success requires extensive collaboration between sub-teams via hand-held radios.

NO SAILING EXPERIENCE is required. Participants will learn only enough about sailing to navigate our Group Challenge Course. Amidst laughter, smiles and the exhilaration of wind and water, the group will hone team skills vital to success as well as uncover opportunities for improvement in decision making, leadership and collaboration.

This Taste of BoatWorks program is limited to 16 particpants. If you are interested in attending, please contact us at 888-GEL-TEAM or sign up via our registration page.

Boats and Facilities

In Alameda and Sausalito, BoatWorks is conducted in partnership with Club Nautique using their fleet of Colgate 26 sailboats. These one-design yachts are versatile, safe and highly maneuverable.

In business for 30 years, Club Nautique boasts two Bay Area locations and the largest, newest, best equipped fleet of sail and powerboats on the San Francisco Bay. The school offers US SAILING Certification from beginner to offshore. Club Nautique certifies more Coastal and Offshore graduates than all of the other US SAILING schools in the country combined.

BoatWorks programs for up to 56 people can be booked at either location via our contact us form.
